Purchase Dell 14" Inspiron i1440 Laptop (Blue) - Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300, Windows 7 Home Premium

I recently bought this laptop from Walmart when it went on sale, but still paid $50 more than the price on Amazon, but I got to carry it home. This was my first Windows 7 machine and it recognized my home wireless immediately, so the setup went smoothly. Activation of Office 2007 was also a snap. One thing I did not like about Windows 7 is that it does not include an email client, like Outlook Express. After downloading Windows Live, I was able to use the Windows Live Mail client. Windows Live also includes the Windows Live Movie Maker and Photo Gallery and writer, although with Word 2007 included on this machine, I can't see the use for the writer program.

This machine is relatively fast with 4 gb of ram and a 500 gb hard drive. As a photographer, the latter feature appealed to me. The screen is clear and the machine is light and will be easy to carry on trips. Battery life is rated at 5 and a half hours, although I have not tested that yet. For the price on Amazon, I would grab this machine. With 4 gb of ram and a 500 gb hard drive and Outlook 2007 included, you get a lot for your money.Get more detail about Dell 14" Inspiron i1440 Laptop (Blue) - Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300, Windows 7 Home Premium.
